Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is urging kitchens and partners involved in the free meal to obtain hygiene and sanitation certificates as soon as possible.

BGN’s deputy head Nanik Sudaryati Deyang told the kitchens in Banyumas that they had about one month from now to secure the certificates, or they will face suspension.

“I’m giving them one month to register with the local health office. If they haven't registered within a month, I'll suspend them," Nanik told an evaluation program in Purwokerto on Thursday.

The Banjarnegara agency has a quota of 131 public kitchens, with 68 registered. Forty-six are already operational, and all have received the hygiene certificates. Purbalingga already has 79 out of 133 kitchen quota registered, but 54 are operational and have already received certificates. Two others are still operational. Cilacap has a quota of 163 units, with 127 registered. Of these, 95 are operational, and 44 have received SLHS.

Banyumas Regency has the largest quota, with 227 SPPGs. Of the 227 quotas, 146 have been filled, while only 116 SPPGs are operational.

"Of the 98 who applied, only 15 SPPGs have been successful. At the same time, the other 48 haven't even registered yet," Nanik said.

The certificate is free of charge. However, there is a fee for sample collection and testing of between Rp 1 million and Rp 2 million.

BGN has also converted the free meal kitchens into emergency kitchens for the victims in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"We pray that the disaster will subside soon, that recovery will be swift, and that our children will remain healthy and safe," Nanik said.
