MDLA’s Net Profit Soars by Double Digits in First Half of 2025
Jakarta. Medela Potentia, known by its ticker symbol MDLA, reported Wednesday that it had posted a solid operational performance in the first half of 2025, indicated by a double-digit growth in net profit.
MDLA encompasses a group of enterprises engaged in pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, medical devices, and digital health platform businesses. According to a press release, MDLA’s consolidated revenue had reached Rp 7.4 trillion ($449.8 million) between January and June, up 3.7 percent year-on-year (yoy). Net profit also reached Rp 200 billion, marking a 15.8 percent increase from the same period last year. MDLA also plans to continue to expand its capacity and distribution network.
Last month, MDLA began the construction of a new distribution warehouse for its subsidiary Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), in its Medan branch, which will come equipped with high-standard cold chain facilities. This warehouse is set to enter operations in the fourth quarter of 2026.
MDLA has also adopted an artificial intelligence-based planning system that has increased demand projection accuracy to 100 percent and reduced the potential for out-of-stocks to just 3 percent.
Medela Potentia, through its subsidiaries, has added three new strategic principal partners covering the consumer health and medical devices segments. Its digital business unit, the GoApotik app, also continued to witness growth and make a profit. The B2B (business-to-business) channel through the GPOS app saw a 15 percent increase in sales, with its coverage rising by 26 percent.
"These positive results reflect strong business fundamentals, as well as our commitment to continuously strengthen our infrastructure, expand our product portfolio, and deliver competitive healthcare solutions. We believe these steps will further enhance shareholder value and provide tangible benefits to the community," Medela Potentia’s president director, Krestijanto Pandji, said.
In the first half of 2025, Stardec -- a subsidiary of Djembatan Dua -- launched two new products: Stardec DecaCare and Stardec DecaMed IV. This brought the Stardec brand portfolio’s stock keeping units (SKUs) to 13. Medical device production at Deca Metric Medica surged by 145 percent over the same period.
Stardec DecaFix and Stardec DecaMed-T were also exported for the first time to Cambodia and Timor-Leste last month. These wound care products are manufactured by the subsidiary of Deca Metric Medica, which focuses on producing medical devices that meet international standards. Deca Metric Medica has obtained ISO 13485:2016 certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI). It has also secured halal certification, demonstrating its commitment to quality and compliance with global quality management systems.
MDLA distributed a total of Rp 313 billion in initial public offering (IPO) proceeds. The company distributed Rp 278 billion of those proceeds to Anugrah Argon Medica, while about Rp 35 billion went to Deca Metric Medica.
MDLA has also implemented environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
It has deployed 106 environmentally friendly vehicles meant for distribution purposes across 15 branches in 13 cities. The company has also facilitated free health checks for 7,324 people as of the end of August. MDLA’s subsidiaries have also implemented energy efficiency and emission reduction programs. They have also held an initiative called Argon Peduli that aims to provide better healthcare for people.
