KB Bank Marks 54th Year of Serving Customers’ Financial Needs
Jakarta. KB Bank recently celebrated its 54th anniversary of serving its customers' financial needs.
KB Bank’s President Director Tom (Woo Yeul) Lee said that the customers’ trust and support were pivotal to the bank’s 54-year journey.
“I would like to thank the KB Bank customers for supporting us all this time. Going forward, we promise to deliver the best banking services to our customers. We are able to come this far thanks to our customers’ help. KB Bank is committed to doing our best even until we turn 540 years old,” Lee said during the anniversary ceremony in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Lee also revealed some of KB Bank’s strategies to grow in Indonesia. The bank is planning to focus on several ecosystems that are the country’s key economic drivers, namely the electric vehicle (EV), agriculture, and medical industries.
“The kind of EV partnerships that banks usually do is related to electric cars and buses. When it comes to motorbikes, they are usually covered by Indonesian multi-finance companies that offer high interest. We are currently mulling a financing scheme for electric motorbikes that can offer better services and a more affordable interest for the people,” Lee said.
Supomo -- the president director of the revolving fund agency at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Ministry -- also congratulated KB Bank on its 54th anniversary.
“Hopefully, we can step up our cooperation in many fields, including in the supply chain sector by involving MSMEs to help supply the South Korean companies in Indonesia,” Supomo said.
