Jakarta. Jakarta IP Market (JIPM) 2026 is back as a business marketplace aimed at helping local intellectual property (IP) go global.

The event will take place on July 29-30 at the Fairmont Jakarta.

JIPM 2026 brings together IP owners, brands, manufacturers, investors, and creative industry players within a single ecosystem to foster collaboration, licensing, and new business opportunities.

This year's Jakarta IP Market presents various new initiatives designed to generate real collaborations and accelerate the commercialization of Indonesian IP.

JIPM 2026 chair Mochtar Sarman stated that many Indonesian IPs possess high quality and potential, but lack access to the right business partners.

"As a result, many works remain as content when they could potentially develop into products, licenses, franchises, and even cross-industry collaborations. The Jakarta IP Market is here to bridge this need by bringing together all industry players in one structured business marketplace," Mochtar said.

The event also offers an exhibition, conference, networking, and licensing deal room. This room is an exclusive negotiation space that connects IP owners with potential licensees, brand owners, manufacturers, and investors through a business matching system and scheduled meetings. This approach is expected to accelerate the negotiation process, ultimately resulting in memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and business partnerships.

Last year, JIMP presented over 100 IP projects from within and outside the country, involving participants from nine countries, facilitating 305 business meetings, generating 138 business leads, and recording a potential business value of over Rp 33.4 billion or $1.9 million.

Going forward, Jakarta IP Market also seeks to become a link between the Indonesian creative industry and the markets of Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and China.
