Jakarta. Indonesia recently promoted its exports of fresh fruits and household goods at the Lulu Hypermarket Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi.

The Indonesian Embassy had partnered with the Lulu Hypermarket to organize the "Indonesian Corner Promotion: Proudly Indonesian". This campaign, which was live on July 3-5, aimed to boost market access for Indonesian products. This ranges from food and beverages,
household goods, spices and seasonings, fresh fruits, garments, and footwear, among others.

Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha said the partnership with Lulu Group had helped to expand bilateral ties in trade, investment, and the food supply chain. Judha also offered Lulu Group to explore investment opportunities in food processing and distribution infrastructure.

According to Judha, Lulu Group has expressed its readiness to participate in the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026.

"Such participation is expected to strengthen connections between Indonesian producers, exporters, and business actors with Lulu Group’s global retail network, thereby creating greater export opportunities for Indonesian products," a press statement by the embassy reads.

Indonesia and the UAE already have the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which has boosted export-import activities.

In 2025, bilateral trade reached approximately $6.4 billion. They are now hoping to reach the $10 billion mark.

Lulu Group is one of the largest retail networks in the Middle East, with hypermarkets and
supermarkets operating across Gulf nations.
