Jakarta. Indonesia's largest halal exhibition is returning once again.

The D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia (HEI) 2026 will take place from 8–12 July 2026 at the Senayan Tennis Indoor Complex, Jakarta, serving as a strategic platform that brings together halal industry players, government bodies, investors, and the international community within a single ecosystem of collaboration.

Organized by PT Angan Kreasi Semesta (Skyconnection) with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), this year's event forms part of the official series of activities under the D-8 Summit 2026.

Carrying the theme “Strengthening D-8 Halal Economy Through International Collaboration,” D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia serves as a platform to strengthen halal economic cooperation among nations while opening up access to the global halal market.

Since its first edition in 2018, Halal Expo Indonesia has shown significant growth. Its debut at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) featured around 100 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors. By the 2024 edition, the expo had attracted more than 41,000 visitors from 140 countries, reinforcing its position as one of the largest halal industry events in the region.

This year, international participation once again stands out as one of the key strengths of D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia. To date, several countries have confirmed their participation, including Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Nigeria. The presence of country pavilions, business players, and companies from the halal sector is expected to further strengthen opportunities for cross-border collaboration and investment.

With a more comprehensive concept, D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia 2026 presents four main programs designed to drive business collaboration, knowledge exchange, and cultural promotion.

1. Exhibition will be divided into two main zones. Zone A, located in the Main Hall, is focused on B2B activities and will feature international pavilions from various countries as well as exhibitors from the halal sector. Meanwhile, Zone B, in the outdoor area, will host the Cultural Festival and Cultural Performance. With a capacity of more than 100 booths, the exhibition is targeted to attract over 5,000 visitors.

2. Business Matching. D-8 Halal Expo Indonesia 2026 will bring together business players, international buyers, and business delegations from various countries. The entire business matching process will be facilitated digitally through a platform supported by Wasabih and Appsaya, expanding opportunities for more effective business cooperation.

3. D-8 HEI Talk will feature more than 15 talk show sessions and discussions covering a range of strategic issues, from sharia economy and finance, the halal industry, and halal tourism, to youth entrepreneurship. These sessions will bring together speakers from various countries as well as national and international institutions.

4. D-8 HEI Cultural Festival reflects the idea that the halal industry is not only about products, but also about culture and lifestyle. The festival will showcase a variety of traditions, cuisines, music, and cultural performances from different countries, and will be open to the general public as part of the five-day event.
