CDI Group’s Solar Power Portfolio to Reach 11 MWp by November 2025
Jakarta. Chandra Daya Investasi (CDI Group) announced Tuesday that its solar power portfolio was on track to reach a total of 11 megawatt peak (MWp) soon thanks to a new ground-mounted solar plant.
The company’s energy subsidiary Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE) is setting up a 4.7 MWp ground-mounted solar plant in Cilegon, thereby bringing the total portfolio to 11 MWp. This plant will reach completion and enter operations this November.
The 4.7 MWp solar power plant utilizes KCE’s existing transmission and distribution network, optimizing previously unused land areas to create added value from available assets.
With a total capacity of 11 MWp, CDI Group’s green energy portfolio is projected to reduce carbon emissions by up to 9,855 tons of CO₂eq annually. This is equivalent to the carbon sequestration of over 469,000 trees each year. Backed by extensive experience in the power sector and the application of internationally certified solar panel technology, CDI Group through KCE ensures that every project is designed with the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability.
“This milestone marks an important step for CDI Group in strengthening our contribution to Indonesia’s national energy mix and supporting the country’s energy transition agenda. Our 11 MWp solar portfolio, spread across the Krakatau Industrial Estate and other national locations, reflects our commitment to providing clean energy that not only supports energy security but also enhances national industrial competitiveness, thereby contributing significantly to Indonesia’s development,” CDI Group President Director Fransiskus Ruly Aryawan said.
“Moving forward, we remain committed to expanding our solar capacity as part of CDI Group’s long-term strategy to support sustainable development.”
CDI Group also plans to progressively expand its solar power plant capacity as part of its long-term strategy to advance the transition toward renewable energy. Through this initiative, CDI Group reaffirms its commitment to delivering a reliable and environmentally responsible power supply.
