BNI Investor Daily Summit Shows Indonesia’s Commitment for Growth: GGBEC
Jakarta. The Global Government, Business, and Cooperation (GGBEC) Alliance recently attended the 2024 BNI Investor Daily Summit in Jakarta -- an event which the group considered to have demonstrated Indonesia’s commitment for economic growth.
The two-day summit had invited GGBEC’s executive chairman Pan Yongchang and international center director Xu Fang to attend the event. GGBEC brought its investment team of government and business representatives, including Yu Fengqiao, the director of the International Energy Department of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Center. Other representatives included Chint International’s general manager Han Zhonglin, Chint Indonesia’s general manager Ace Chang, and Shangying Clothing’s general manager Xu Xiangqian, to name a few. As well as the 4MM Venture Capital (Singapore), PTE LED Wind Energy Capital (Singapore) chairman Ivan Fan, CEO Tiwi Gusnan.
The 2024 BNI Investor Daily Summit kicked off with remarks from outgoing President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Tuesday. His successor Prabowo Subianto wrapped up the event with a vision statement that gave the audience some insights into his upcoming economic policies. The event was also quite timely as it was only 11 days away from Prabowo’s inauguration ceremony on Oct. 20.
According to the GGBEC, the presence of Indonesia’s top political figures demonstrates the government’s commitment to spur the national economy through investments be it from investments from both home or abroad.
“It demonstrates the Indonesian government's firm determination to promote domestic and foreign investment and promote economic growth,” GGBEC was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.
According to the press release, the GGBEC embraces its economic principle of “buying global, selling global”. The alliance seeks to promote economic cooperation between enterprises and countries across the globe in line with the international development trend.
Its establishment aims to promote win-win cooperation, mutual sharing, and "a better future together".
The GGBEC also launched its international affairs center on Thursday.
