UK Minister John Glen Visits Indonesia to Strengthen Partnership on Digital Transformation
Jakarta. UK Minister for Cabinet Office John Glen arrived in Jakarta on Monday for talks with senior government officials on strengthening partnership on health, digital transformation, and education as part of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries,
Glen will meet Communications and Informatics Minister Budi Arie Setiadi to discuss the bilateral partnership on digital and education, as well as Deputy Minister Scenaider Siahaan of the National Development Planning (Bappenas) and senior representatives from the Health Ministry and to discuss partnership on the health and development sectors.
"This year, we celebrate our 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Our joint work with Indonesia on future technologies, including the digital transformation of its business, health, and education sectors, has gone from strength to strength,” Glen said in a statement.
“As one of the largest economies in the region, Indonesia remains an increasingly important partner for the UK in tackling climate change, countering disinformation and wider global challenges,” he added.
During his two-day visit, Glen will also meet with the Deputy ASEAN Secretary-General for Community and Corporate Affairs, Nararya Soeprapto, and members of the ASEAN Secretariat "to share experience of public service modernization and efficiency".
