Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka are scheduled to attend the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Congress, which will be held in Solo, Central Java, on Sunday, July 20.

Gibran has confirmed his attendance at the congress. He said that prior to the party agenda, he would first carry out a working visit in Solo on July 18–19, 2025.

“On Friday and Saturday, we’ll focus on work. As for the congress, we’ll wait for the President’s arrival. I will likely accompany him on Sunday evening,” Gibran said on Friday.

The Acting Chairman of PSI, Andy Budiman, confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto will deliver a speech during the closing session of the PSI Congress on Sunday, July 20. Vice President Gibran is also scheduled to attend the session.

“President Prabowo will be present and give a speech at the closing of the congress on July 20. Vice President Gibran will also attend,” Andy said.

Former president Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is also scheduled to attend the PSI Congress. Andy noted that Jokowi is expected to speak in one of the sessions on Saturday, addressing party officials, regional leaders, legislators, and PSI cadres from across the country.

The PSI Congress in Solo is not only a political gathering but also a crucial moment for the party to determine its leadership direction for the next five years. One of the main agenda items is the election of PSI's new chairman for the 2025–2030 term.

Three candidates are officially running for the party's top post: the incumbent Kaesang Pangarep, Ronald Arsitone Sinaga, and Agus Mulyono Herlambang.

The three candidates will compete for the support of 187,306 registered voters listed in PSI’s official electoral roll. These voters will choose the new leader who will guide PSI through upcoming political challenges.

The presence of three prominent figures -- Prabowo, Gibran, and Jokowi -- is expected to offer both moral support and significant public attention to PSI’s internal dynamics. Besides being a forum for consolidation, the PSI Congress will also serve as a key indicator of coalition alignments and political strategies ahead of the 2029 general election.
