Pégase 2026: France Shows Indonesia Its Airpower
Jakarta. France’s Pégase mission is making a stop in Indonesia this week, as the world’s second-largest arms supplier puts its airpower on display.
Some of the French Air Force’s warplanes are going on a world tour better known as the Pégase. The journey spans 40,000 kilometers through the Arctic and the tropics. Four Rafale combat aircraft, two A400M Atlas airlifters, and three A330 Phoenix tankers joined the mission, backed by 300 airmen. The planes had arrived in Indonesia. They would spend several days conducting joint military exercises, which also included teaching Indonesian Rafale pilots how to refuel mid-air.
