The changes include its refinery unit Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI), upstream sub-holding Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), shipping company Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), and renewable energy unit Pertamina New Renewable Energy (PNRE). Additionally, two subsidiaries, namely hotel and property unit Patra Jasa and consultant firm Pertamina Training & Consulting (PTC), are also affected.

In addition to expanding business, efforts in clean energy and decarbonization are also a focus for the Pertamina Group.
