Seoul. The Indonesia U-20 national team suffered a 0-2 defeat against Thailand U-20 in the Seoul Earth on Us Cup 2024 match at Mokdong Stadium in Seoul, South Korea, on Friday.

Indra Sjafrie's squad fell behind early, with Caelan Ryan scoring in the 10th minute of the first half. The score remained unchanged until the end of the match.

In the second half, the Garuda team intensified their attacks to equalize, but Thailand's tight defense proved difficult to break through.

As the match neared its conclusion, disaster struck for Indonesia. While attempting to dismantle Thailand's defense, they conceded a second goal.

The goal, scored by Ratthaphum Phankhechon, was met with protests from the Indonesian players, who felt the referee had interfered with the flow of the game.

This loss marks the first defeat for the Indonesia U-20 team in two matches. In their previous game, Indonesia had shocked many by defeating the strong Argentina team 2-1.
