Afghan Refugee Found Dead at Jakarta's Sudirman Station
Jakarta. An Afghan refugee identified as Mohammad Yasin Nazari, 36, was found dead on Platform 1 at Sudirman Station, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday.
The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, said that the tragic incident occurred at 05:15 a.m. local time.
According to Ade Ary, before his death, Nazari was seen jumping from the platform. However, the authorities are still investigating the cause of his death.
"At 04:30 a.m., the victim arrived at Sudirman Station. He jumped from Platform 1 at Sudirman Station as a commuter train was passing towards Tanah Abang at around 05:15 a.m.," he said on Wednesday night.
Nazari was found with injuries on his face. His body was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for further examination.
