UFC Legend Khabib Nurmagomedov Set to Visit Jakarta in October
Jakarta. Former MMA champion and UFC icon Khabib Nurmagomedov is scheduled to visit Jakarta on Oct. 5 to share his journey and life lessons. He will headline a talk show titled “The Path of A Champion” at The Kasablanka Hall in Kuningan, Jakarta.
Ria Christina, a promoter from MadaLive, announced that 3,200 tickets are available for fans eager to meet the undefeated UFC champion.
"Tickets are available until Oct. 5. We believe Khabib’s presence will inspire Indonesians, especially the younger generation, to achieve success in various fields," she said during a press conference held alongside the Close the Door Podcast in Kemang, Jakarta, on Friday.
Ticket prices range from Rp 650,000 ($42.24) for the purple category to Rp 5 million for the blue sapphire category. A special meet-and-greet package, including a blue sapphire ticket and a photo with Khabib, is priced at Rp 24 million.
"Khabib is a role model who lives by faith and commitment to his beliefs, inspiring millions. We're excited to have him in Indonesia to meet his fans," Ria said.
"Khabib’s life is a testament to faith and humility. We are confident his presence will inspire the youth, helping them find motivation to pursue their dreams," Ria added.
Deddy Corbuzier, host of the popular "Close The Door" podcast, expressed his excitement about legendary MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov’s upcoming visit. Deddy highlighted Khabib’s strong Islamic faith as one of the key aspects that makes him an inspiring figure.
"Khabib is deeply Islamic, and what’s interesting is that he always says his victories aren’t his own, but come from Allah," Deddy said.
"He always points upward with his index finger, signifying that his victories come from Allah, from the One above," he added
Khabib, the first Muslim and Russian to win a UFC title, holds the longest undefeated streak in MMA history with 29 wins
Deddy also recalled Khabib’s iconic fight against Conor McGregor, noting that McGregor had taunted Khabib for relying on his faith. Unfazed, Khabib ultimately defeated McGregor with a rear-naked choke, a basic yet effective MMA technique.
