Jakarta. Social media personality Fransiska Candra Novitasari, popularly known as Siskaeee, was arrested at an apartment in Yogyakarta on Wednesday. She is one of nine women recently named as suspects in an ongoing police investigation into the production of pornographic videos.

The Jakarta Police, leading the investigation, dispatched a team to Yogyakarta after Siskaeee ignored two previous warrants for her deposition.

She was arrested by the cybercrime unit at Student Castle Apartment on Senturan Raya Street, Yogyakarta, in the morning, said Chief Comr. Ade Safri Simanjuntak, director of the Jakarta Police’s criminal investigation division.

"The suspect was taken from Yogyakarta to the Jakarta Police headquarters for an interrogation after she failed to respond to two previous summonses by investigators,” Ade said.

Tofan Agung, an attorney for Siskaeee, said his client skipped the police interrogation due to filing a pre-trial motion challenging the charges, awaiting a court ruling.

Upon arrival at the Jakarta Police headquarters, Siskaee denied hiding from the police summonses.

"That's where I live," she said of her apartment in response to inquiries by journalists.

Last month, the Jakarta Police announced criminal charges against nine women and two men accused of performing in pornographic videos following a lengthy investigation. 

Siskaeee, who publicly admitted to hosting an OnlyFans account, and Virly Virginia are among the suspects. Both women have garnered a substantial following on their Instagram accounts with content intended for adult audiences.

All suspects face charges under both the Pornography Law and the Electronic Information and Transaction Law.

The latest announcement brought the total number of suspects in the case to 16.

The investigation began in September with the arrest of four men and one woman on charges of producing explicit adult content at a business premise in South Jakarta. 

The primary suspect is the alleged director behind the production of these adult videos. He operated a website for streaming the explicit content.

Three other men played key roles in the production process: a cameraman, a movie editor, and a sound effect technician.

The fifth suspect served as the group's secretary and also participated as a female performer in the videos they created, according to a police statement at that time.

As the investigation progressed, police expanded their focus to include suspected performers in the videos.
