Bandung. The 2024 edition of eL Run has attracted significantly more participants than last year's event, with the distance extended to 7 kilometers from the previous 5 kilometers.

The event, organized by eL Hotel Group, will take place in Bandung, the capital of West Java, on Sunday morning.

As of Friday, the organizers had received 350 applications, with an additional 400 expected to register on Saturday, according to Dewi Riska Agustin, director of sales and marketing for eL Hotel Group in Bandung.

"We had 400 participants last year, and this weekend’s event will draw 750 runners," Dewi said. "There is growing enthusiasm for eL Run because the quota of 750 has been fully redeemed since April."

Additionally, there is an increasing number of participants from outside Bandung, she added.

Among them is Fera Indri from Jakarta, who registered for the event with her friends.

"We need to ensure our fitness for the event, with proper nutrition intake and rest before hitting the track," Fera said.
