Jakarta. Vietnam’s VinFast plans to introduce an “entirely new” right-hand drive electric car model to Indonesian consumers during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 3.

During its return to GIIAS 2025, VinFast also will display its full range of electric cars currently available for sale in Indonesia, spanning from the VF 3 (mini SUV), the VF 5 (A-segment SUV), the VF 6 (B-segment SUV), to the VF e34 (C-segment SUV), the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The launch of the new model “reaffirms VinFast's strong commitment to continuous innovation and pioneering role in shaping a green future for Indonesia,” it said.

With the debut of the new vehicle, VinFast's product portfolio in Indonesia will expand to five electric models.

"We are proud to mark our return to GIIAS 2025 with a pivotal milestone: the introduction of a new model for the Indonesian market,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia.

In just over a year since its official market entry in Indonesia, VinFast has expanded the dealership network to 24 showrooms, spreading across major cities like Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali.

VinFast, which is constructing an electric vehicle assembly plant in Subang, West Java, also aims to establish a network of 500 authorized service workshops across Indonesia this year.

The company has established partnerships with the pure-electric taxi company GSM and the global EV charging station developer V-GREEN in Indonesia.
