Jakarta. President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has assured that there will be no immediate increase in the prices of both subsidized and non-subsidized fuels.

He made this announcement after a limited meeting with various ministers at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base before heading to Melbourne, Australia, for the ASEAN-Australia Summit.

Despite not providing detailed information about the fuel price policy, Jokowi stated, "No fuel price increase. [State oil and gas company] Pertamina will provide further information," during a press conference at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta on Monday.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, confirmed that Pertamina's fuel prices would remain unchanged until June 2024.

This policy applies to both subsidized and non-subsidized fuels, with the decision being made during a cabinet meeting led by President Jokowi on Feb. 26, 2024.

Pertamina routinely reviews and adjusts oil prices every month to ensure stability and availability for the public. The fuel prices in March remain stable, similar to the rates applied in January 2024. This marks the third consecutive month without any price hikes. The prices are as follows: Pertamax remains at Rp12,950 per liter, Pertamax Turbo at Rp14,400 per liter, Dexlite at Rp14,550 per liter, and Pertamina Dex at Rp15,100 per liter.
