LinkedIn's Top 15 Companies in Indonesia: Bank Mandiri and Telkom Take the Lead
Jakarta. LinkedIn, a professional networking platform, unveiled its list of the top 15 companies renowned for fostering career development in Indonesia for the year 2024. Leading the pack is state-owned Bank Mandiri, recognized as the best workplace for career advancement in the country.
Following closely is Telkom Indonesia, another state-owned entity in the telecommunications sector, securing the second spot. This is trailed by Bank Tabungan Negara, eFishery, and Bank Rakyat Indonesia.
Additionally, renowned companies such as Reckitt, Procter & Gamble, Djarum, Philip Morris International, The Coca-Cola Company, Infineon Technologies, ExxonMobil, Nestlé, Alphabet Inc, and Kino Indonesia have also earned places in the prestigious LinkedIn Top Companies 2024 list.
Agus Dwi Handaya, Director of Compliance and HR at Bank Mandiri said in a statement that the bank has implemented a range of training programs through corporate universities and structured programs such as onboarding programs, career acceleration, career mentoring, career assignments, talent mobility, technical & leadership development, and international exposure through scholarships for formal postgraduate education (Master's degree) to 15 of the world's best universities. Notably, the bank has achieved commendable gender equality with 52 percent of its workforce being women, including 36 percent in leadership roles.
Meanwhile, Afriwandi, Director of Human Capital Management at Telkom, expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing it to the collective efforts of Telkom Indonesia employees. The consecutive inclusion of Telkom in the Top Companies list reflects the company's commitment to transformation and excellence, fueled by the dedication and diligence of its workforce.
LinkedIn's evaluation methodology incorporates various factors, including advancement opportunities, skill development, company stability, external prospects, company culture, gender diversity, educational background diversity, and employee headcount.
To be considered, companies must have a minimum of 500 employees in Indonesia as of December 31, 2023, with layoffs not exceeding 10 percent during the assessment period from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
