Investor Daily Roundtable in Cirebon Sees Great Enthusiasm
Jakarta. The recent economic forum Investor Daily Roundtable in Cirebon saw great enthusiasm from West Java’s business players, according to B-Universe Media Holdings Executive Chairman Enggartiasto Lukita.
Chief Economic Affairs Minister Airlangga Hartarto was the guest speaker of this session. The forum picked the theme of “Economic Challenges Amid Political Year”. It also sought to give the public and private sector a snapshot of what the government has in mind to drive the economy.
“This is such a positive activity. So the people and businesses can know the economic developments in the country, and what the government plans on doing,” Enggartiasto said.
During the conference, Airlangga talked about the latest updates of the government’s strategic national project Patimban Port and the Giant Sea Wall in Indramayu.
“This shows that the Subang area can develop even further thanks to Indramayu’s marine wealth and the levee,” Enggar said.
There were also talks of Indonesia’s domestic processing policy. As well as the immersed tunnel in the new capital city Nusantara.
“So there should be no doubts. We should continue a great program. Mr. Minister can directly translate what President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo wants,” Enggartiasto said.
This marks the first Investor Daily Roundtable this year. The event took place in Hotel Luxton Cirebon with about 358 participants in attendance. The guests include Cirebon’s acting mayor, Cirebon’s regional house of representatives head, and village heads, among others. Chair and members of the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) West Java chapter were also present. As well as members of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs (Hipmi) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
The forum was also broadcast live by Beritasatu on YouTube. The livestream recorded 50,000 viewers.
