Jakarta. Hashim Djojohadikusumo has resigned as president commissioner of 5G internet infrastructure provider Solusi Sinergi Digital (WIFI), the publicly listed company announced Friday.

Company Director Shannedy Ong said Hashim submitted his resignation in a letter dated Sept. 29.

“The letter states that the resignation is effective from the date of the letter. He also requested that the company take all necessary actions, including convening a general meeting of shareholders,” Shannedy said in a public disclosure.

The company did not disclose a reason for Hashim's resignation.

Solusi Sinergi Digital also announced the resignation of Director Henny Santoso, who submitted her letter on Oct. 1.

The company said both resignations will be presented for approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled for Oct. 21.

Hashim, a businessman and the younger brother of President Prabowo Subianto, joined Solusi Sinergi Digital as president commissioner following approval at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting in May 2025.

The company operates telecommunications infrastructure and provides connectivity services under the Surge brand.

In May, Solusi Sinergi Digital launched Internet Rakyat, or IRA, a 5G fixed wireless access service targeting Java, Maluku and Papua, regions with a combined population of more than 200 million.

The initiative comes as Indonesia continues to face relatively high fixed-broadband costs compared with several Southeast Asian markets, while internet speed and service quality remain uneven across the country.

The company has said Internet Rakyat is intended to provide more efficient, scalable and affordable telecommunications infrastructure while helping narrow gaps in fixed-broadband access.
