Jakarta. GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) has dismissed growing media speculation about a potential merger with Grab, saying no decision or agreement has been made regarding such a transaction.

In an official statement on Tuesday, GoTo Corporate Secretary RA Koesoemohadiani said the company “has not made any decision or entered into any agreement” related to the rumored deal.

GoTo is scheduled to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on Dec. 17. Koesoemohadiani said the meeting is part of the company’s commitment to good corporate governance and unrelated to any merger or corporate action.

“The upcoming shareholders meeting agenda, as announced on Nov. 10, has no connection with any planned corporate action,” she said in the disclosure.

She added that GoTo will release further details in accordance with prevailing regulations when it issues the official meeting invitation on Nov. 25.

“The board of directors and management remain fully committed to acting professionally and prioritizing the interests of all stakeholders,” Koesoemohadiani said, noting that GoTo’s focus remains on executing its strategic goals to create long-term value for shareholders and the broader ecosystem.
