Jakarta. Indonesian telecom and gadget retailer Erajaya Swasembada (ERAA) posted a net profit of Rp 568 billion ($36 million) in the first half of 2025, marking an 8.5 percent increase from a year earlier.

Net sales rose to Rp 35.05 trillion from Rp 33.11 trillion in the same period last year, driven primarily by mobile phone and tablet sales, which contributed Rp 27.8 trillion. Sales of computers and other electronic devices reached Rp 1.33 trillion, while accessories generated Rp 5.1 trillion.

The company recently entered into a strategic partnership with Chinese electric vehicle maker Xpeng, establishing an assembly facility at Handal Indonesia Motor’s plant in Purwakarta, West Java -- Xpeng’s first assembly site outside China. Under the deal, Erajaya serves as Xpeng’s brand holder in Indonesia.

Oktavianus Audi, an analyst at Kiwoom Sekuritas Indonesia, said the tie-up with a global brand underscores Erajaya’s adaptability in the retail sector.

“We expect Erajaya’s growth as the brand holder of premium EV maker Xpeng to continue, supported by rising EV demand and government incentives, including luxury goods tax breaks and green industry policies,” Audi said.

On Tuesday, Erajaya’s shares closed up 0.87 percent, extending a week-long rally that lifted the stock 5.94 percent over the past seven days and 14.85 percent year-to-date.
