Danantara to Pay Rp 120 Trillion in State Dividends
Jakarta. Danantara will transfer Rp 120 trillion ($6.79 billion) in dividends to the state treasury this year, giving Indonesia’s fiscal position an additional buffer for potential spending needs, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said Friday.
The dividend payment, which has been approved by President Prabowo Subianto, will be recorded as non-tax state revenue (PNBP) and set aside as a fiscal reserve.
“In previous years, we only received around Rp 90 trillion in dividends. If it increases to Rp 120 trillion, that is good. The government is not losing anything; its revenue is actually increasing,” Purbaya told reporters at the Finance Ministry in Jakarta.
“I hope the profits will grow even larger in the future,” he added.
Before the government established Danantara, dividends from state-owned enterprises (SOEs) were recorded under non-tax revenue from separated state assets. The Rp 120 trillion payment will now enter the state’s non-tax revenue and serve as an additional fiscal buffer.
“For now, it will be set aside as a reserve to make our budget stronger, especially in case we need additional spending for unforeseen circumstances,” Purbaya said.
Finance Ministry data showed non-tax state revenue reached Rp 271 trillion in the first half of 2026, up 21.6% from the same period a year earlier.
Purbaya said it remained unclear whether Danantara would continue transferring its profits to the state treasury in 2027, as the decision would depend on President Prabowo’s policy.
“Not yet. It will depend on the President’s policy. But clearly, it is a positive development. If Danantara’s profits increase, the fiscal position also benefits indirectly,” he said.
