Student Protest in Jambi Ends in Chaos
Police clashed with university students protesting the controversial Criminal Code bill and the new Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) law in front of the Regional House of Representatives compound in Jambi on Monday. The protesters were demanding the annulment of the KPK law and for the government to drop articles in the Criminal Code bill that critics say restrict the rights of Indonesian citizens.
