Four elephants and their handlers, called "mahout" in Aceh, cross a river carrying the Indonesian national flag after taking part in a ceremony to commemorate National Heroes' Day at the Sampoiniet Conservation Response Unit in Aceh on Sunday. Heroes' Day is celebrated every year on Nov. 10 to pay respect to Indonesian freedom fighters who liberated the country from the Dutch after the end of the Second World War.
