OVO Celebrates 2 Years at the Top
Lippo Group's online payment service OVO celebrated its two-year anniversary in an event called "OVOnation: the Incredible Power of an Open Ecosystem" at Plaza Barat Senayan in Jakarta on Saturday.
In two years, OVO has grown rapidly to become a leading online payment and financial services platform in Indonesia.
The OVO app is now in use in more than 300 cities throughout Indonesia and is the first online payment service to be available at 90 percent of the shopping malls all around the country.
The OVO app can be used at hypermarkets, department stores, coffee shops, theaters and hospitals – among others – throughout Indonesia.
It is also the payment method of choice for many e-commerce platforms in the country.
The OVOnation event was attended by Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Panjaitan, Communication and IT Minister Rudiantara, Financial Services Authority executive director and digital financial innovation group head Triyono Gani and Bank Indonesia's deputy director of payment system policy and supervision Ricky Satria.
