An ancient brick structure that resembled a wall was unearthed in a disused mine in Kedaton, a village near Jombang in East Java on Wednesday. According to the East Java Heritage Conservation Agency, the structure was found two meters underground. It was around 32 centimeters long, 18-21 centimeters wide and 5 centimeters thick. It is thought to be part of a 14th-century residential complex built during the Majapahit era. The conservation agency said it could be connected to another ancient brick structure found only eight meters away in 2016. That structure was never taken care of and is now severely damaged.
