An Ulos for Jokowi
President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and first lady Iriana Joko Widodo visited an ulos-weaving center on Samosir Island in Lake Toba, North Sumatra, on Tuesday (30/07). Ulos is a naturally dyed woven cloth that has been produced and worn for centuries by the Batak tribe of North Sumatra. The president visited the largest lake in Indonesia to see the progress of its development into a world-class tourist destination and one of the country's "10 New Balis."
