XLSmart Posts $2.5 Billion Revenue in 2025 After XL Axiata–Smartfren Merger
Jakarta. Indonesian mobile operator XLSmart Telecom reported total revenue of Rp 42.5 trillion ($2.5 billion) in 2025, up 23% from a year earlier, following the merger of XL Axiata and Smartfren, which now operate under the XLSmart brand.
In its 2025 financial results, the company said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 13% year-on-year to Rp 20.1 trillion ($1.2 billion), while net profit reached Rp 3 trillion ($178.2 million).
“The merger has progressed successfully, and integration milestones were completed faster than planned. We also achieved higher-than-targeted synergy efficiencies, giving us more room to expand growth margins in the coming year,” XLSmart Chief Executive Rajeev Sethi said in a statement on Saturday.
Data and digital services accounted for more than 90% of the company’s total revenue.
By the end of 2025, XLSmart served around 73 million subscribers, with average revenue per user at approximately Rp 39,500.
Capital expenditure for the year reached about Rp 11.2 trillion. The company’s total number of telecommunications towers rose to more than 225,000, up 36% year-on-year, while service traffic climbed 38% to 14,566 petabytes.
XL Axiata and Smartfren formally completed their merger in April 2025. Network integration has now reached 85% and is targeted for completion by June 2026, the company said.
