Jakarta. Hyundai Motor Company has officially announced a recall of its flagship electric sedan, the Ioniq 6, in Indonesia due to a potential issue with the vehicle’s charging system that could affect performance.

Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), described the measure as a proactive step to ensure all Hyundai customers enjoy a safe and reliable driving experience.

“For us, ensuring product reliability does not stop after the car is delivered. This is an ongoing process under our myHyundaiCare philosophy, reflecting Hyundai’s responsibility to maintain high quality standards,” Fransiscus said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to HMID, the recall affects Ioniq 6 units produced between 2022 and 2025. However, not all models are impacted. Vehicle owners are advised to contact or visit authorized Hyundai dealers to verify if their cars are included in the recall list.
