The Gade Creative Lounge Now Opens at University of Riau
Jakarta. Pegadaian recently launched the 24th Gade Creative Lounge at the University of Riau, Pekanbaru.
The Gade Creative Lounge (TGCL) aims to strengthen financial literacy, inclusive entrepreneurship, and social innovation that has a real impact on society, especially the younger generation. The TGCL also marks Pegadaian's commitment to the Sustainable Development Goal on quality education.
Pegadaian Director of Information and Digital Technology Yos Iman Jaya Dappu stated that TGCL reflects the company's commitment to utilizing technology and collaborative spaces as enablers for the development of young talent.
"We designed The Gade Creative Lounge as a collaborative space that adapts to the needs of the younger generation, supported by technology integration. Through TGCL, Pegadaian wants to create a space for financial literacy and entrepreneurship, which we hope will drive innovation and foster superior talent ready to face future challenges," Yos Dappu was quoted as saying in a press statement.
The initiative also upholds sustainability principles by focusing on ergonomics and using recycled materials. It uses ornaments made from recycled waste, demonstrating Pegadaian's commitment not only to business but also to social and environmental concerns.
According to Yos Dappu, the synergy between Pegadaian and universities is key to creating a learning ecosystem that is relevant to current trends, while also supporting digital transformation and sustainable development in the education sector.
University of Riau Rector Sri Indarti described the TGCL as a strategic facility that enriches the learning and development process for students.
Pegadaian plans to set up more The Gade Creative Lounge in other Indonesian universities across the archipelago.
