RMKO Books Strong 4Q Turnaround as Revenue Surges 63.6% in 2025
Jakarta. Coal mining contractor Royaltama Mulia Kontraktorindo (RMKO) reported strong operational improvements in 2025, posting a sharp increase in revenue and returning to profitability in the final quarter of the year.
The company recorded a 63.6% year-on-year surge in revenue in 2025, supported by stronger performance in its two core business segments: heavy equipment rental and construction.
Revenue from the heavy equipment rental segment rose 24.7% year-on-year, driven by a massive increase in downstream hauling volume, which expanded 63.5 times compared with the previous year, as well as a 97.8% year-on-year rise in train loading volume.
Meanwhile, the construction segment also contributed positively following the completion of the group’s hauling road project, strengthening the company’s integrated coal logistics infrastructure.
The improved revenue performance translated into a sharp turnaround in quarterly earnings. In the fourth quarter of 2025, RMKO recorded net profit of Rp 1.9 billion, representing a 122.6% year-on-year increase.
Although the company still posted a full-year net loss of Rp 49.4 billion, the loss narrowed significantly compared with the previous year, reflecting improved efficiency and higher operational productivity.
RMKO also maintained a healthy balance sheet during its transition from a heavy investment phase toward full operational activities. The company reported a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.5 times, while operating cash flow jumped 16-fold in the fourth quarter to Rp 220.2 billion, in line with stronger revenue.
RMKO Director William Saputra said the company had recorded significant operational improvements since the third quarter of 2025 and remained optimistic about continued growth this year.
He said the trend would likely continue as the company receives additional project allocations from within the group while strengthening synergy to increase coal volumes from third-party mines.
“RMKO will continue strengthening group synergy to increase coal volumes from third-party mines, supported by infrastructure facilities that are now well integrated,” William said.
The company has also begun to see tangible benefits from the completion and full operation of the RMKE group’s hauling road facility, which has become increasingly strategic following a regional regulation that bans coal transport on public roads starting Jan. 1, 2026.
Optimistic targets for 2026
Entering 2026, RMKO plans to intensify business synergy with RMK Energy (RMKE), particularly as more new clients begin utilizing the group’s hauling road infrastructure.
The company has set operational targets for the year, aiming to increase Train Loading System (TLS) volume to 3.6 million tons and coal transportation volume via hauling road to 1.8 million tons.
Performance in January 2026 has already shown strong growth, management said, signaling a positive start toward achieving the company’s annual targets.
“With this solid strategy, we believe RMKO will soon fully transition from an investment phase to a more mature operational stage and deliver sustainable growth for all stakeholders,” William said.
Founded in 2017 under the name Rantai Mulia Kontraktorindo, the company rebranded to Royaltama Mulia Kontraktorindo in 2022. RMKO provides mining support services, heavy equipment rental, and construction services, particularly within the integrated coal logistics sector.
