PTPP Marks 72nd Anniversary with “Paint & Plant” Social Initiative
Jakarta. Indonesian state-owned construction firm PTPP is celebrating its upcoming 72nd anniversary on August 26 by hosting a community program titled “Paint & Plant” in collaboration with YPAC Jakarta, a foundation supporting children with disabilities.
The activity brought together 50 YPAC students, their 12 teachers, and PTPP’s management team to decorate plant pots and engage in environmental awareness efforts. As part of the event, PTPP also donated Monstera ornamental plants, symbolizing its commitment to environmental care.
The initiative was attended by Joko Raharjo, PTPP’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Muhammad Zahid, Senior Vice President of Finance & Accounting, along with other company representatives.
Promoting Inclusion and Sustainability
“This event created a space of togetherness that fostered inclusivity, where every child was given equal opportunity to express themselves and show their potential without limitations,” Joko Raharjo said.
He underlined that inclusivity enriches shared experiences and reinforces the message that every individual deserves equal access to learning and the opportunity to contribute to society and the environment.
“Sustainability is not only about building infrastructure, but also about empowering communities and ensuring inclusive education,” Joko added. “Through Paint & Plant, we aim to engage YPAC children in reforestation efforts while encouraging their creativity.”
Aligning with ESG and Global Goals
According to Joko, the program reflects PTPP’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education, No Poverty, and Partnerships for the Goals.
“The involvement of YPAC children proves that everyone has the same opportunity to contribute to protecting the planet and creating a greener future,” he said.
PTPP highlighted that the initiative underlines its consistency in implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Beyond its role in developing national infrastructure, the company is committed to launching social programs that directly benefit communities, promoting a balance between environmental protection, education, and social sustainability.
