PNM Sukabumi Plants 100 Trees on 25th Anniversary
Jakarta. The Sukabumi chapter of the financing firm Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) recently planted 100 endemic trees in Cianjur, West Java.
The tree-planting initiative was also part of PNM’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
“To celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary, PNM’s ‘team summit attack’ climbed up 25 mountains in Indonesia. The climbers planted trees throughout their journey to help protect the environment,” PNM Sukabumi’s head Resya Apriansyah was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.
Resya said he hoped the program could build a spirit of togetherness to save the planet, while also helping the community.
"When we carry out social and environmental responsibility programs, we do not only care for nature, but also build a sustainable future for the future generations," PNM president director Arief Mulyadi said.
