PNM Customers Receive Training on Beef Jerky Production
Jakarta. Fourteen Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) Mekaar customers recently had a comparative study on beef jerky production at the Maja Dendeng Production House.
Owner M Husni gave the customers training on how to identify good meat. They also learned about hygiene in meat processing, as well as the butchery, and seasoning techniques, among others.
According to PNM’s corporate secretary L Dodot Patria Ary, these comparative studies are part of the “intellectual capital” provided by the PNM. The company is a non-bank financial company that provides financial, intellectual, and social capital.
"So we don't just give money to customers to try and let them go, but we accompany them until they make progress," he explained while hoping that the comparative study could help the participants grow their business.
"The more knowledge PNM can provide, the greater the customer's business potential, and this will lead to increased family welfare for ultra-micro business actors whose backgrounds come from underprivileged families," he added.
PNM, through the PKU (Business Capacity Development) program with the theme #CariTauLangkahBaru (‘Find New Steps’), has been conducting a comparative study program since 2022. About 200 customers across a variety of sectors have received training.
The customer, the chair of the Tangerang branch of PNM Group, Ayu Putri Ekawati thanked PNM for the program. Ayu added: “Hopefully, I can make innovations in my business. To all PNM customers, let’s participate in the weekly group meetings to learn more.”
PNM finances and assists underprivileged women in Indonesia through the ultra-micro business sector. PNM not only provides business capital but also provides various training to improve product quality. To date, there are 15.2 million PNM customers across Indonesia.
