Jakarta. PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) is stepping up its nationwide energy logistics readiness ahead of Christmas 2025 and the New Year 2026 holiday period.

Working closely with the Pertamina Group, PIS has activated the 2025/2026 Holiday Task Force and mobilized 332 tanker vessels to transport crude oil, fuel (BBM), LPG, and petrochemicals across the Indonesian archipelago.

“To anticipate a seasonal surge in consumption, we have deployed 332 tankers and prepared an additional 12 backup vessels. These tankers serve fuel, crude oil, LPG, and petrochemical distribution routes nationwide, including regional corridors,” said Alih Istik Wahyuni, Acting Corporate Secretary of PIS.

Complementing the tanker fleet, PIS—through PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK)—has also prepared 338 port support vessels, including tugboats, to ensure smooth berthing and cargo-handling operations across major ports.

All vessels are monitored in real time through a centralized command center equipped with digital operational systems to maintain safe and reliable energy distribution across Indonesia.

Alih emphasized that fleet preparedness is a core part of PIS’s commitment to safeguarding national energy resilience.

“Energy demand rises significantly at the end of every year. That’s why we have maximized fleet readiness, infrastructure, and monitoring systems to ensure uninterrupted fuel and LPG supply,” she said.

In response to current weather conditions, PIS has also implemented mitigation measures, closely tracking vessel movements and optimizing routing to accelerate the delivery of additional fuel and LPG stock when needed.

The Holiday Task Force’s operations are coordinated through an advanced control center, which utilizes the latest monitoring technologies. Enhanced digital systems play a critical role in mitigating distribution risks, including real-time checks on vessel availability, port agency services, floating storage readiness, and other essential logistics support to safeguard energy mobility.

“We continue to act swiftly to resolve any fuel transport challenges, and we hope weather conditions improve so energy distribution to the public can run at full capacity,” Alih said.
