Jakarta. Manager Fest 2026 successfully concluded at fX Sudirman in Jakarta on Saturday, drawing more than 2,000 participants and 120 speakers from a wide range of industries.

Carrying the theme “Shape the Shift,” the annual event organized by Minutes of Manager served as both a collaborative platform and a space for reflection for young professionals navigating an increasingly dynamic work environment.

The event ran throughout the day across several venues within the fX Sudirman complex, including the Garuda Spark Innovation Hub (GSIH), CGV, and BINUS. Participants attended more than 45 discussion sessions featuring formats such as Mastermind Panel, MoMentum Talks, Manager’s Pitch, and Diskusi MendaDuck.

The opening ceremony was led by Minutes of Manager advisory board member Desy Bachir alongside Minutes of Manager and Manager Fest 2026 representative Siti Desiree Nasfhia.

In her remarks, Desy said today’s rapid changes require professionals, particularly those in managerial roles, not only to adapt but also to actively shape the direction of change.

“Change is inevitable, but what is often overlooked is how we take part in it,” Desy said. “At the managerial level, the shift is no longer about doing everything independently, but about building trust, guiding teams, and growing together. That is where leadership is truly tested.”

Siti Desiree Nasfhia echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the importance of having the courage to move forward amid uncertainty.

“Today, change no longer waits for us to be ready,” Siti said. “It is through the courage to move forward in uncertain situations that we begin creating small ripples that eventually grow larger. From there, we shape not only our own direction, but also the environment around us.”

A number of public figures and industry practitioners also took part in the event, sharing their experiences and perspectives. Speakers included Anies Baswedan, Tsamara Amany, Dewi Gontha, Fendy Alwi, and Bilal Faranov.

During a MoMentum Talks session titled “Lead Yourself First: Small Choices That Shape Great Leaders,” Bilal Faranov highlighted the importance of self-leadership as the foundation of effective leadership.

According to Bilal, many professionals have strong intentions but struggle to maintain consistency when faced with challenges and discomfort.

“Our problem is not intention, but action and consistency,” Bilal said. “Many people have good goals, but stop when confronted with discomfort. Leaders are shaped by small choices repeated every day. Everything we have today is the result of consistency built over time.”

Bilal also discussed the phenomenon of ego depletion, referring to mental and emotional exhaustion that makes it difficult for individuals to remain consistent in decision-making. He said maintaining personal space and balance is essential to sustaining performance and leadership quality.

He added that leadership is not defined solely by position or title, but by how individuals treat others while working together.

“True leaders are not shaped by titles, but by the way we treat other people,” he said. “And that begins with the ability to listen and understand, not merely to give instructions.”

Manager Fest 2026 marked the third edition of the event organized by Minutes of Manager. This year’s success underscored the growing relevance of recognizing managerial professionals, particularly amid increasing demand for learning spaces that are contextual, practical, and capable of bridging cross-industry perspectives.
