Jakarta. éL Hotel Group celebrated its 11th anniversary with the Yayasan Sekolah Cinta Anak Indonesia or the Sekoci Foundation by donating school books to 70 students at the Gondangdia child-friendly public space (RPTRA) on Sunday.

This donation is also part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities (CSR). According to Iwan Setiawan Sumantri, the general manager of corporate for éL Hotel, the partnership with Sekoci Foundation has an overarching goal of providing free education. Sekolah Cinta Anak Indonesia students were also enthusiastic about listening to inspirational fairytales, playing games, and taking part in educational quizzes.

“We have held educational yet fun activities. We have also provided the tools that they need for school,” Iwan said.

Sekoci volunteer Ruby talked about the experience of helping the kids together with éL Hotel Group.

“Thank you, éL Hotel. The children are excited because éL Hotel brought happiness on their 11th anniversary. The event ran smoothly and it was really fun. I hope we can continue to share happiness,” Ruby said. 

 éL Hotel Group has provided 11 free medical check-ups across 6 wards. This CSR initiative will take place on January 5-17.

“Going forward, we hope more hotels can contribute to Indonesia’s tourism industry,” Iwan said, commenting on éL Hotel Group's 11th anniversary.
