Kris Dayanti Dazzles in a Magical Concert at Plataran Borobudur
Magelang. Legendary Indonesian singer Kris Dayanti delivered a breathtaking performance at the Magical Heritage Concert held at Plataran Borobudur, with the majestic Borobudur Temple as her backdrop on Saturday night.
The concert, part of the Plataran Intimate Concert Series, allowed the audience to interact closely with the singer, even joining in song during several numbers. Kris Dayanti opened the night with a heartfelt rendition of Tanah Airku, evoking a strong sense of national pride among the guests.
She then continued with a series of upbeat songs, alternating between the open-air garden and the elegant Kinandari Venue Glass Ballroom, seamlessly blending modern energy with cultural heritage.
“This is my second collaboration with Plataran after performing at Plataran Makassar,” Kris Dayanti said, as quoted by Kumparan. "Plataran’s spirit of Indonesian pride is truly iconic. I know its CEO Mr. Yozua Makes, and his wife, Mrs. Dewi well -- they’ve shown great appreciation for Indonesian artists through the Intimate Series platform.”
Although rain briefly fell over the venue, well-prepared indoor and outdoor arrangements ensured the concert continued without interruption.
Plataran Borobudur comprises three interlinked sites -- Plataran Borobudur Resort, Plataran Heritage Borobudur Hotel, and Plataran Shailendra -- all set amid tranquil natural surroundings.
“There’s always something unique about each Plataran venue,” Kris Dayanti added. “The resort and spa are truly special -- peaceful and far from the noise. My family and I were even able to explore Borobudur and enjoy a cycling tour before the show.”
She concluded the evening on the Kinandari Garden stage, performing against the illuminated grandeur of Borobudur Temple as fireworks lit up the night sky.
The concert marked the third of five performances in the Plataran Intimate Concert Series, which runs from September to December 2025. The next edition will take place on 23 November at Hutan Kota by Plataran, featuring fellow Indonesian music icon Ari Lasso.
