Jakarta. Bank KB Bukopin, also known by its ticker symbol BBKP, recently announced a new name and logo.

BBKP has officially rebranded itself as KB Bank. This rebranding embraces the theme  “Kita Bisa Karena Bersama” (‘We Can Do It Because We Are Together’).

“The rebranding from KB Bukopin to KB Bank, coupled with the logo change, is a pivotal moment in KB Bukopin’s transformation journey that has taken place since 2021. This is expected to cement our position in the national banking industry,” KB Bank's director for retail business and services Helmi Fahrudin said at the rebranding ceremony on Monday.

According to Helmi, the rebranding is part of KB Bank’s strategy to improve its customer services. The company seeks to be a reliable partner in Indonesia by combining “Korea Best” and Indonesia’s best practices, while also upholding transparency, trust, and integrity.

"Our controlling shareholder KB Financial Group is one of the largest financial institutions in South Korea, and also one of the largest players or financial institutions globally. And this is certainly one of our strengths so that we can then grow, develop, and strengthen the image and identity of KB Bank in Indonesia," he said.

KB Bank will further improve service quality, integrity, systems, management, and operations. So that it can provide competitive value for KB Bank customers.

"We continue to develop new features for all products, both savings products, loans and transactional products. We also continue to develop information technology, one of which is developing NGBS, namely the New Generation Banking System. This is one of our steps to further improve services to customers," Helmi said.

KB Bank customer Rista Karlina welcomes the rebranding.

"So far, what we have felt is that the products and services are quite helpful in terms of our corporate finances. Hopefully, KB Bank can become a successful and leading bank in Indonesia," Rista said.

KB Bank also introduced a series of promos to celebrate the rebranding, among others a cashback worth for customers who spend at least Rp 100,000 using KB Bank debit and credit cards in Burger King, KFC, The Harvest, and Solaria. This promo is available on March 3-5.
