Jawa Timur Park Group Strengthens Edutainment Portfolio with New Science Museum
Jakarta. Jawa Timur Park Group is developing the Mega Science Center and Culture Museum at Jatim Park 1 in Batu, East Java, as part of its long-term effort to strengthen Indonesia's educational tourism ecosystem and provide more interactive, future-oriented learning facilities.
Currently under construction, the museum is designed to integrate science, technology, and culture within a single educational complex. The new attraction is expected to complement the wide range of learning facilities that Jawa Timur Park Group has developed through its signature edutainment concept.
Built on a 18,000-square-meter site, the Mega Science Center and Culture Museum will feature thematic zones covering space, physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, technology, disaster mitigation, and culture. Each zone will incorporate interactive exhibits, educational displays, simulations, and immersive technology to help visitors better understand scientific concepts through hands-on learning experiences.
The project reflects Jawa Timur Park Group's commitment to advancing science, technology, and cultural literacy in Indonesia. Beyond serving as an educational tourism destination, the museum is expected to function as a learning space for students, academics, families, and the wider public.
Marketing and Public Relations Manager of Jawa Timur Park Group Titik S. Ariyanto said the museum is part of the company's broader vision to contribute to non-formal education through education-based tourism.
"The Mega Science Center and Culture Museum represents one of our strategic development initiatives to provide a more comprehensive learning facility. Through this project, we hope to help increase public interest in science, technology, and culture while strengthening Batu City's position as a nationally competitive educational tourism destination," Titik said.
Beyond expanding the company's portfolio of attractions, the museum is expected to contribute to the development of Batu City's tourism and education sectors. The project reflects Jawa Timur Park Group's continued commitment to creating destinations that combine entertainment with meaningful educational value and long-term benefits for the community.
Construction is currently underway, and Jawa Timur Park Group said it will continue to provide updates on the project's progress until the museum is ready to open to the public.
Through the development of the Mega Science Center and Culture Museum, the company reaffirmed its commitment to expanding destinations that support education, cultural preservation, and human capital development through accessible and engaging learning experiences.
