Jakarta. State-owned credit guarantee company Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) recorded a consolidated guarantee volume of Rp 271.20 trillion as of September 2026, supporting 2.97 million micro, small and medium enterprises and cooperatives (MSME-Cs) and 9.46 million workers.

The company also posted a consolidated profit before tax of Rp 1.1 trillion during the period.

Jamkrindo President Director Abdul Bari said the performance reflected an adaptive business strategy, strong risk management and the measured optimization of growth opportunities. He said the company needed to balance business expansion with portfolio quality to strengthen competitiveness and ensure long-term business sustainability.

“For Jamkrindo, maintaining performance is not merely about business growth, but also ensuring that growth is built on a strong foundation and delivers long-term benefits. Therefore, we continue to strengthen our corporate capacity, improve risk management quality and optimize business opportunities to make a greater contribution to MSMEs and the national economy,” Abdul Bari said on the sidelines of Jamkrindo’s Editors-in-Chief Gathering on Friday (Oct. 23).

Alongside its business performance, Jamkrindo supports its shareholder’s direction to streamline the conventional and sharia guarantee clusters as a strategic step toward building a more efficient, integrated and optimized industry structure. The move aligns with the government’s aspiration to develop state-owned enterprises that are feasible, sizeable, sustainable and capable of becoming global players.

“We support efforts to strengthen the industry structure by considering business viability, operational effectiveness, risk management and long-term sustainability. This will allow us to strengthen corporate capacity while increasing our contribution to the economy, in line with our shareholder’s aspirations for Jamkrindo to become more feasible, sizeable, sustainable and a global player,” he said.

More broadly, efforts to strengthen the company’s capacity are aligned with the restructuring of Indonesia’s guarantee industry under the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) roadmap for refining the sector.

“In line with the OJK roadmap, we are monitoring the direction of industry strengthening and following up on our shareholder’s guidance regarding plans to streamline guarantee companies. This step is expected to optimize industry synergies and capacity, making the sector more efficient, competitive and sustainable,” Abdul Bari said.

As part of the process, Jamkrindo is reviewing the structure of its guarantee portfolio and products. One option under consideration is the first-phase transfer of guarantee business portfolios from non-guarantee or insurance entities within the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) to Jamkrindo.

The assessment will take into account business viability, operational readiness, risk management, corporate governance and other relevant considerations to ensure the process delivers optimal benefits and meets the shareholder’s objectives.

Internally, Jamkrindo is also strengthening its organizational capabilities through its IMPACT transformation program, which stands for Independence, Market, People, Agility, Competitiveness and Technology.

The Independence pillar focuses on developing independent guarantee professionals, while Market aims to expand market reach and identify new business opportunities. People focuses on strengthening human resource competencies, and Agility emphasizes adaptive thinking and the ability to respond quickly to change. Competitiveness aims to enhance the company’s competitive position, while Technology focuses on optimizing digital technology and strengthening system resilience.

Through IMPACT, Jamkrindo seeks to improve operational effectiveness, strengthen competitiveness and build sustainable business growth.

“With the spirit of providing broader guarantees and creating a more tangible impact, we are committed to making a greater contribution to building an efficient and competitive national guarantee industry while expanding access to financing for MSMEs,” Abdul Bari said.

As part of its efforts to strengthen strategic relationships with the media, Jamkrindo held its Editors-in-Chief Gathering in Semarang from Oct. 22 to 24, 2026. The event served as a forum for dialogue and an exchange of views on the company’s performance, developments in the guarantee industry and Jamkrindo’s business development plans, including ongoing industry restructuring.

The event was attended by Jamkrindo President Director Abdul Bari; Guarantee Business Director Ardhi Setyarko; Business and Institutional Development Director Krisna Johan; Human Resources, General Affairs and Risk Management Director Ivan Soeparno; Finance and Investment Director Alia Nur Fitri; Operations and Network Director Sigit T. Prabowo; and Jamkrindo Syariah Acting President Director Loesdarwanto.
