Indonesian Translation of 'A Philanthropist's Guide to Giving' Provides Key Insights into Philanthropy
Jakarta. "Strategic philanthropy can transform communities and create lasting impact."
That is the message from Asia Philanthropy Circle, Bakti Barito Foundation, and Filantropi Indonesia as they launch "A Philanthropist's Guide to Giving: Berbagai Pemahaman Khas Asia dari Asia Philanthropy Circle".
This is the Indonesian edition of "A Philanthropist's Guide to Giving: Asia-based Insights from Asia Philanthropy Circle".
In 2023, Indonesia was found to be the world's most generous country for the sixth year in a row by the World Giving Index. This remarkable achievement underscores the nation’s strong tradition of giving and the relevance of this guide for Indonesian philanthropists.
The book, enriched with 31 case studies from eight countries across Asia, is the result of extensive contributions from Asia Philanthropy Circle members. It aims to inspire and facilitate strategic philanthropy within the Indonesian-speaking community and is part of APC’s efforts to broaden and enhance giving capacity within the regional ecosystem.
Supported by the collaborative efforts of Bakti Barito Foundation and Filantropi Indonesia, the book launch featured discussions by seasoned philanthropists, including Laurence Lien, Co-Founder and CEO of APC, Fifi Pangestu, Executive Director of Bakti Barito Foundation and Rizal Algamar, Chair of Executive Board of Filantropi Indonesia.
The book will be available for purchase online and in-store to the public starting August 23, 2024, through Gramedia.
To celebrate the launch, there will be an event at the Grand Indonesia branch of Gramedia on the same day at 2 p.m.
