Jakarta. The Indonesian Editors Forum (Forum Pemred) will hold the Run For Good Journalism 2025 event on Sunday, Nov. 16, in Jakarta.

This fun run is part of the movement for quality journalism and efforts to support media sustainability — an initiative long championed by the Editors Forum together with all key press stakeholders in the country.

Forum Chair Retno Pinasti said continuous and well-planned efforts are needed to safeguard media sustainability and high-quality journalism.

“The Fun Run For Good Journalism is part of our commitment to keeping the movement for quality journalism and media sustainability alive,” Retno said.

She added that sustaining quality media requires the ability to transform, remain adaptive, uphold integrity, and stay true to the journalistic code of ethics amid rapid technological change.

“These challenges aren’t easy, and we must face them together. Fighting hoaxes and disinformation requires strong stamina. Quality content is the key to media sustainability,” said Retno, who is also the Editor-in-Chief of SCTV.

The Run For Good Journalism will feature 350 participants from various regions of Indonesia, including media figures, senior journalists, and editors-in-chief of national outlets.

During the event, the winners of the Editors Forum Journalism Awards will be announced across newspaper, online media, radio, and television categories.

Retno added that organizers have prepared a range of attractive door prizes for the runners, along with live entertainment.

“Everyone who joins must feel happy. We want the campaign for quality journalism and media sustainability to gain broad public support,” she said.
