Jakarta. Food company Danone Indonesia took home three awards at the recent 2023 Public Relations (PR) Awards hosted by Marketing Interactive Magazine.

Danone Indonesia scored the highest award —the Gold award— for the Best PR Campaign FMCG for its SGM Eksplor - "Tunjuk Tangan untuk Generasi Maju Indonesia" (raise your hand for the Indonesian flourish generation) program. The company also won a Gold award for its Sentra Vaksinasi Generasi Maju vaccination center for the best Covid-related campaign. Danone Indonesia also won a bronze award for the PR Champion of the Year.

The SGM Eksplor program focuses on providing affordable nutrition for Indonesian children. In this campaign, Danone has reached over 2 million consumers. The company has also provided nutrition and helped enable better health and education for more than 200,000 Indonesian kids.

The Generasi Maju Covid-19 vaccination center focuses on improving Indonesian kids' access to healthcare with around 16,164 children, particularly those living in remote areas, as beneficiaries.

The bronze PR Champion of the Year award also went to the company's corporate communications director Arif Mujahidin. The award recognizes his leadership in building solid teamwork and maintaining relations with the stakeholders. The award also recognizes the team's ability to maintain and improve the company's reputation.

The 2023 PR Awards is an annual PR awards ceremony that recognizes PR professionals across Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Oceania.

"The role of public relations has now become the center of today, and it has become more relevant in the past years amidst uncertainties. Companies are urged to not only do great in business, but they should also actively educate the people and deliver positive messages for a healthier and more sustainable Indonesia," Arif said.

"Danone is committed to actively educating people on health and the environment through various programs," he said.
