Jakarta. Out-of-home media company City Vision is teaming up with the Jakarta government to add to the New Year’s Eve festivities. 

City Vision will hold the Kirana Jakarta, a world-class light show featuring 500 drones, water mist effects equipped with four layers made of water, as well as 3D mapping on The Plaza building. Jakarta icons, patterns, as well as a live stream of the show, will fill all OOH media in the Hotel Indonesia roundabout’s LED digital network that evening. 

Kirana Jakarta by City Vision will start at 8 p.m. until the midnight countdown on the Malam Muda Mudi event held by the Jakarta government. The Malam Muda Mudi will encompass a series of events, namely Gemilang Jakarnaval, the main stage at Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Kirana Jakarta by City Vision, as well as performances in Thamrin and Sudirman streets.

According to the press release, City Vision is also working with some strategic partners for this event. Partners include a leading vendor for world-class air mist effects, as well as a video mapping vendor that took part in the recent ASEAN event in Jakarta.

“Kirana Jakarta by City Vision is a momentum to bring new enthusiasm and inspiration for a more advanced Indonesia. We are not only trying to present a spectacular New Year’s celebration. Kirana Jakarta by City Vision can be a symbol of progress for a more positive Indonesia,” Juliana Kumala, the co-founder and co-chief executive officer of City Vision, was quoted as saying in a recent press statement.

Andhika Permata, the head of the Jakarta government’s tourism agency, welcomed the partnership with City Vision. 

“Kirana Jakarta by City Vision will be a historical moment in advancing Jakarta. It is not just entertainment, but an expression of the city’s creativity and modernity,” Andhika said.

The Jakarta government will also launch its newest icons, namely the ondel-ondel puppet figure Je, the Kemayoran tiger Ka, and the Monas monument’s flame Te.
