Yogyakarta. Cinemagenda, a new intellectual property developed by Era Media Sejahtera (SSPACE/DOOH), was officially launched at the 2025 JAFF Market in Yogyakarta, one of Indonesia’s most prominent film festival platforms. The initiative is designed to strengthen visibility, appreciation, and discussion around Indonesian films by combining creative insights with SSPACE’s extensive media network.

Positioned as a curation, education, and promotional platform, Cinemagenda will leverage a range of SSPACE media assets — from Greater Jakarta’s commuter-train television network to its dedicated Instagram channel (@linikini_id) — to broaden public access to local film content and deepen audience engagement.

According to SSPACE Creative Director Irfan Handoko, the idea for Cinemagenda emerged from the need for a fresh, independent space that speaks directly to viewers.

“Cinemagenda is not just a review platform; it is a movement to help Indonesian films gain wider appreciation. Through our media ecosystem, we aim to offer new ways of experiencing and enjoying cinema,” Irfan said.

As part of its ecosystem-building efforts, Cinemagenda also introduced CIA — Cinemagenda Agents — a training program for young communities interested in developing objective film-analysis skills. Participants will contribute independent perspectives on new Indonesian releases and help foster a culture of thoughtful film appreciation nationwide.

A warm reception came from filmmaker Muhadkly Acho, director of “Agak Laen 2: Menyala Pantiku,” who praised the initiative’s potential impact on the creative sector.

“Cinemagenda can contribute even more to our film industry. Hopefully it supports a wave of new works and encourages stronger collaboration between filmmakers and the Cinemagenda community,” he said.

With the launch of Cinemagenda, SSPACE reinforces its commitment to nurturing local creative talent and strengthening Indonesia’s wider creative ecosystem through digital-media innovation and community-driven initiatives.
