Jakarta. Chandra Asri Pacific (Chandra Asri Group) marked its upcoming 34th anniversary by organizing TRACE34, a plogging activity that brought together media partners and employees from the company’s hobby communities to collect waste along a 3.4-kilometer route in Cisadon, Sentul, Bogor.

The activity combined exercise, camaraderie and environmental awareness, reflecting the company’s 34th anniversary theme, “Growing Together, Moving Forward Stronger”.

Using the number “34” as part of its concept, TRACE34 invited participants to collect and sort inorganic waste found along the route as part of the plogging activity, which combines jogging with picking up litter.

For Chandra Asri Group, TRACE34 was a way to mark its 34-year journey through a simple and participatory initiative. The journey, the company said, is not only about business growth but also about building relationships and collaboration with various stakeholders while making contributions that benefit the wider community.

Chrysanthi Tarigan, head of corporate communications at Chandra Asri Group, said TRACE34 was part of the company’s efforts to celebrate its anniversary through an experience that participants could share and take part in.

“Over the past 34 years, Chandra Asri Group has gone through many changes and challenges. However, one thing that has remained an important part of our journey is the importance of moving forward together with our stakeholders,” Chrysanthi said. “That is why we want this year’s anniversary celebration to be more than just a ceremony, but also something we can bring to life through action. TRACE34 is a simple initiative where we and our media partners, together with Chandra Asri Group employees, walk, exercise and pick up litter along the way. But it is precisely through simple actions like this that we want to show that when many people take the same steps, their contributions can become more meaningful,” she added.

Through plogging, TRACE34 also encouraged participants to view everyday activities from a different perspective, showing how exercise can become an opportunity to contribute and how environmental awareness can begin with simple actions in our surroundings.

Cisadon was selected as the event’s location partly because the area has been developing as a tourism and sports destination. TRACE34 provided an opportunity to encourage participants and visitors to recognize the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness through simple actions, including sorting waste found along the route.

The involvement of media partners and Chandra Asri Group’s employee communities also reflected the spirit of collaboration behind the initiative.

Media partners have helped share stories about the company’s journey and contributions, while its employee communities provide a space for workers to build camaraderie beyond their professional activities.

TRACE34 is part of Chandra Asri Group’s 34th anniversary celebrations, bringing the theme “Growing Together, Moving Forward Stronger” to life through collective action and a tangible contribution to the environment.
